It is very much not a secret how much I love the Rolex Submariner no date two liner! Today we’re going earlier in the 14060 lineage, 1991, which means you get sweet tritium lume just starting to age to perfection! Oh, and this incredible example comes with its Rolex box and hang tag! REF: 14060 SERIAL: X70XXXX DATE: 1991 DIAL: From the 2 line black dial to that Mercedes hour hand… and here seen with the above mentioned tritium dial! All original, include the bezel pip, with all tritium turning a nice cream color and sparking evenly under UV. Bezel has a few very faint marks, only a few noticeable at the top, but all in don’t find an over 30 year old tool watch much cleaner than this! CASE: Crisp and clean 40mm case with great original lines, nice brushing on the thick lugs, with them beautiful chamfers still present! Wear throughout, as you would expect, mostly seen on the polished sides and case back, but all in looks FANTASTIC! CRYSTAL: Sapphire crystal in great shape, was just replaced by my watchmaker! MOVEMENT: Under the hood is the equally iconic Rolex cal 3000 automatic movement. It’s a beast. A workhorse. Service history is unknown, although my watchmaker found what he believes are fresh service markings, had him regulate and replace the gaskets as well - accordingly timegrapher numbers are awesome at 9 sec/day and a 307 amplitude! Also has light wear throughout, but super clean and looks greatt!
