If you know vintage Heuer, this watch will look familiar. This is because it is effectively an Autavia 1163 with a Bulova dial. Bulova bought these watches from Heuer, replaced the dial with one of their own, added a bridge to the movement that reads Bulova and crossed out "Heuer" on the caseback and wrote Bulova over it. In the end what we have is a Heuer made watch which was badged and retailed by Bulova. This is a beautiful watch. The dial has a very military aesthetic, which is unique to this model. The bezel is an MH, which is original. The case is in good vintage condition. It wears at a comfortable 42mm without crowns. The bezel is not faded, though for whatever reason the way it is reflecting the light in my photo makes it look that way. The watch runs on a Heuer caliber 15 movement which has been signed as Bulova 14EHAD. It is running and keeping time, but likely requires service. Everything appears to be original. A great watch with impeccable pedigree, you will enjoy this on your wrist.
