I am offering for sale this beautiful Movado Datron HS 360 vintage chronograph which I got a couple of years ago from its first owner, equipped with probably the best vintage automatic chronograph movement there is (sorry, my dear Heuer friends!), the venerable Zenith / Movado El Primero (3019 PHC).

The watch size is 37mm (without crown), the lug width is 18mm. The watch comes on its highly desirable original stainless steel bracelet with matching endlinks in sufficient length for a 20cm wrist.

The dial developed an appealing and very even patina (hardly visible with the naked eye) commensurate with the age of this beauty from the early 1970s. The tritium lume material on dial and the original handset is fully intact, has taken on a mellow vanilla colour and still glows nicely under UV light.

The case shows some minor signs of wear but remains its fine contours and bevels. The radial brushing on the front side is nicely preserved. A fresh acrylic crystal has been installed recently and the crown is an unsigned replacement (some Movado-signed crowns are still available online).

The movement has just been checked and some lubricant was applied on the relevant spots (but that was not a full-scale movement service as this was not considered to be required). All functions work just as they should (including the date mechanism and its quick setting as well as the chronograph functions start, stop, restart and reset) and the watch with its smoothly sweeping second hand (thanks to 36.000 bph / 5Hz) is ready to wear, keeping time within approx. 10s/d. As always with vintage chronographs, it should be kept away from water as water resistance cannot be guaranteed.

Moreover, the Movado comes with a large vintage Movado box with outer cardboard box, so it’s not only a great daily companion but can also be displayed appropriately. In addition to the steel bracelet I am also enclosing a grey nubuck leather strap with champagne coloured stitches (worn for 2 days only) that fits the watch dial extraordinarily well.

The watch is located in Austria (EU) and so am I. I do have plenty of international references from various watch enthusiasts (also known here), so please feel free to ask for them.

Nevertheless, I am offering to give a full refund less fully insured shipping expenses in case the piece sold would not be as described by me (within an inspection period of three days and to buyers from within the EU only due to the complex customs procedure in case of an overseas deal).
