**Greetings watch people,** **Today I’m offering a RARE Seiko BRIGHTZ 5j22.** This is from their higher end Brightz line. This is a beautiful watch that features the higher end 5j22 kinetic movement, domed sapphire crystal and an amazing dial. Its titanium construction and perfect proportions make this watch a joy to wear to all occasions. **How Does a Kinetic Watch Work?** Kinetic energy is the energy produced through motion. This type of energy, created by the body’s movement is what powers kinetic watches. Motion like swinging your arms while walking, turning the steering wheel while driving or simple everyday movements cause the oscillating weights within the watch to rotate. **The rotating pendulum** is attached to a large gear which meshes with a small pinion. When you move, the pendulum turns and spins the pinion at a high speed (up to 100,000 rpm). This is coupled to a small electrical generator that charges a storage device (a capacitor or a rechargeable battery). **Auto Relay Feature:** This is a rare feature and only reserved for the high end Kinetic Models. In 1998, Kinetic Auto Relay was released, extending the 'at-rest' operating period of the watch to a remarkable 4 years. This basically puts your watch in sleep mode after 3 years of the pendulum not rotating. To re-start it, you simply "shake" your watch to get that pendulum moving again. Once it restarts, it will go back to the correct time. All functions work well. The date changes overnight and when the quick date feature is flawless. Some MINOR signs of wear are present but they dissappear at arms distance. **Case and bezel:** Very good condition, MINOR signs of wear are present. **Crystal:** The Domed Sapphire is flawless. **Capacitor:** Brand new lithium ion capacitor **Bracelet:** It currently sized for my \~7’’ to fit nicely. It still has 3 micro adjustments to go. It will for sure fit up to a 7.25’’ wrist and maybe up to a 7.5’’ depending how you wear your watches. 2 spare links available.
