[WTS] Black “Red” Alpinist SCVF005, released in 1995 but recently serviced and running at +3 seconds per day
An iconic vintage “Red” Alpinist, released in 1995, serviced in Japan and [running very well](https://imgur.com/a/oZinM3d), in good condition with the original bracelet (full size). [Here’s a video of a SCVF005 in action.](https://www.instagram.com/p/C2Hw4_dKue3/) **Model**: 4S15-6000, SCVF005, “Red Alpinist” **Production Year and Month**: May 2001 **Features**: * *4S15 movement*. Using one of Seiko’s s very well advertised and known “Hi-Beat” movement (28800 bph), resulting in silky smooth sweep, especially when you consider the watch is almost 30 years old. The movement has been regulated to an average of +3 seconds per day across three main positions. * *Alpinist*. The Alpinist series started in the 1960s with the release of the Seiko “Laurel” Alpinist. Designed to be used as an outdoor watch by Japanese mountain climbers, it is perhaps more well known to modern collectors as the series that contains the SARB017. All Alpinists are released as part of Seiko’s “Prospex” (professional specifications) line, as they are built to be rugged and regularly worn. * *Rotating Bezel*. Now a feature of all Alpinists, it can be used to determine your bearings if you can currently see the Sun. Works very smoothly, with no binding/sticking and absolutely no loss of colour due to aging. * *Bracelet*. The original bracelet, able to accommodate up to a 7.25-inch (18.5cm) wrist. **Condition**: The watch is in very good condition, especially given its age. The crystal is almost perfect, but it has a noticeable scratch (9 o’clock and photographed clearly). On the wrist it is not particularly noticeable. The cyclops is in very good condition. The case itself is in good condition with no troubling marks, but there are hairlines (visible throughout the album photographs). The case back shows minor signs of the bracelet marking it, but it’s light overall. Bracelet is good overall, and any abrasions are shallow and hairline. **Scope**: No box or papers, so it will be packed in a secure leather travel case. **Movement**: 4S15 automatic 28800bhp, recently serviced in Japan and [running very well](https://imgur.com/a/oZinM3d) at an average of +3 seconds per day across the three main positions. **Case Width**: 38mm **Lug to lug:** 43mm **Case Thickness**: 10.5mm **Bracelet width:** 19mm **Bracelet length:** 185mm (fits wrist up to 7.25”) **Price**: Overall it’s in very good condition and [running very well](https://imgur.com/a/oZinM3d) after its service. Due to its recent servicing, you can buy with the utmost confidence - offered at **$845** plus shipping (sent from London, UK; costs $5-$55 depending on where you are in the world). I accept Wise, Paypal and Bank Transfer, depending on your transaction history. **Of note**: Nothing to report [Album](https://imgur.com/a/VPigu2e) [Proof](https://imgur.com/a/Nr2ONWV)
