Hello WatchEx! Up for sale is my 1971 Seiko 6138-8000 Baby Panda (1650USD). This watch was only released in the Japanese market and was only produced for 1-2 years. Highly collectible. The watch comes in a highly wearable 39mm case, making it the best fit for my 6.75 wrist of all the excellent chronographs Seiko released with the 6138 movement (and a more manageable size than its 40.5mm brother, the 6138-8020). The watch is over 50 years old and shows its age in places, though most of the cosmetic blemishes are on the case which could always be polished back to its former glory. I personally had an excellent experience with Jack from IWW who polished my black dialed Baby Panda. The photos I've included with my listing were taken with hard light and a high quality camera so there are no surprises, however, I also included one wrist shot that shows how minor the cosmetic blemishes are in everyday light. The watch was purchased in Japan just under one year ago and was serviced by the watchmaker running the shop. All functions work as they should, and all chronograph hands reset to 12 o clock. The 6138b movement was the 23 jewel 'luxury' version of Seiko's automatic chronographs of the time, and is based heavily on the 6139 which was arguably the first automatic chronograph of its time (with the primary difference being hand winding.
