[WTS] Hodinkee Carl F Bucherer Worldtime Heritage Limited Edition Watch #03/150
[WTS] Hodinkee Carl F Bucherer Worldtime Heritage Limited Edition Watch #03/150
Hey WatchEx!! Different account, but I used to do quite a few transactions here. Can provide references! Background: I bought this watch from the NYC Tourneau store a couple of days after release. I believe this may be the first numbered version available to the public (#1 for CFB, #2 for Hodinkee, #3 in the NYC flagship store) - but unsure! It’s a beautiful watch, unworn, in perfect condition. Selling only because I am swapping for something else to add to the collection. Please message me with any questions you might have. Happy to Facetime to show the watch! Price: $6750 OBO - No trades. From Hodinkee: The Carl F. Bucherer Heritage Worldtimer Limited Edition for Hodinkee is a contemporary interpretation of a classic 1950s world timer pulled from the brand’s archives. A simplified world timer measuring 39mm, it’s a COSC-certified chronometer with Carl F. Bucherer’s characteristic peripheral winding system. Limited to just 150 pieces worldwide, we have 50 watches with a unique-to-Hodinkee caseback engraving available now in the Hodinkee Shop. The stainless steel case measures 39 by 10.25mm – wearable but entirely modern. The central dial is a matte-varnished blue with engraved rhodium hour markers, while the external 24-hour ring is semi-matte and circularly brushed, providing a slightly contrasting, two-tone effect to the contemporary and monochromatic dial. The dial delicately balances retro and modern features in a way that brings the golden age of globetrotting into today. While the outer world timer ring immediately calls to mind an era when cell phones didn’t update our time zone the instant a plane touched down, the blue dial still manages to pop in an age of withering attention spans. Meanwhile, the sapphire caseback of the Heritage Worldtimer Limited Edition reveals the CFB automatic caliber A2020 that shows off the best of Carl F. Bucherer’s watchmaking. It’s a COSC-certified chronometer with a 55-hour power reserve. In addition to its robustness and accuracy, it features CFB’s peripheral winding rotor, perhaps the manufacturer’s most notable contribution to modern watchmaking. Instead of a full-rotor system that sits on top of the movement plate, the peripheral rotor sits on the same plane as the rest of the movement. The Carl F. Bucherer Heritage Worldtimer Limited Edition For Hodinkee is delivered on a multi-row stainless steel bracelet that completes its mid-century vibe and also comes with an additional grey Saffiano leather strap. The strap and bracelet both have a quick-release system, meaning the Heritage Worldtimer can be quickly dressed up or down.
