[WTS] 1952 Longines 14k gold and diamond handwinder
[WTS] Picture this: it's sunset in Las Vegas. You're heading out in your new, cherry-red Pontiac convertible to get steaks, see Frank Sinatra play the big room at the brand-new Sands Casino, and shoot craps. It's 1952, your suit is so sharp it cuts your upholstery and you feel lucky. What watch are you wearing? This one -- a 14k gold and diamond-lug cased, textured bullseye diamond-dialed Longines handwinder. 33mm case (11.8g without the movement), 39mm lug to lug with 18mm lug width. It turns heads on a gently-used vintage Kreisler glossy black crocodile skin strap (18L) with a signed LeCoultre buckle. Comes with an Extract from the Archives showing that Longines invoiced the pristine 17J cal. 22L movement to Longines-Wittnauer USA in October 1952 to be cased. The case is in fantastic shape. The acrylic crystal has some minor scratches, but I left it as-is since some prefer them untouched. No service history, but it's keeping excellent time for its age. (The crown was replaced -- the original crown had a bent stem tube, but it will ship with the watch.) $1100 net to me by PayPal FF or Venmo includes insured shipping within the US. No trades, thanks.
