Hello! Up for sale is a 2019 Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary in full Moonshine Gold! This truly is an amazing watch and one that I know I will miss. Some watches just feel extra special when you pick them up and this is definitely one of them. I consolidated several pieces to get into this speedy and planned to keep it forever, but you know the story - something else has caught my eye so I’ve decided to try and move it along to a new home. This watch is shockingly comfortable with a great heft that tells you it’s something special and, for a full gold 42mm watch, it’s about as unassuming as you could get due to all of the brushed surfaces (especially on the bracelet). If you’re a speedy fan, you probably already know that this watch was released in 2019 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing and is a modern interpretation of the 1969 ref. BA145.022 that was presented to President Nixon, Vice-President Agnew and to the astronauts of Apollo missions. I’m certainly no photographer but happy to provide any other pictures you may want. Further details below: Ref. 310.60.42.50.99.001 limited edition of 1014 pieces. Full set with all cards, book, special lunar surface box that replicates the box that came with the original BA145.022, and all extra bracelet links. Condition is excellent with minor signs from careful wear as expected on a gold watch that gets worn in rotation. Keeps great time and functions as it should. Movement: this was the first speedy to utilize the 3861 movement which is a METAS certified Master Chronometer movement with a Co-Axial escapement. For all of its technological advances, my favorite feature of this new movement was that it finally has a stop seconds function! Caseback is sapphire and the outer rim is really special and includes representations of the moon and the earth (in the correct proportion to each other). The cutout of the earth shows Cape Canaveral (the Apollo 11 launch site) and the moon is depicted with a small piece of lunar meteorite! How cool is that?! Bracelet is fully brushed, which is a subtle difference (among other things) that sets this watch apart from the current moonshine gold speedmasters Omega currently offers. Dial is full gold and the hour markers are onyx and the burgundy bezel is ceramic with the classic dot over 90.
