# JLC Manual Wind 18k Tank Video: [https://youtube.com/shorts/D3xhU9\_h6Ws?feature=share](https://youtube.com/shorts/D3xhU9_h6Ws?feature=share) For sale is this very nice vintage Jaeger LeCoultre 18k yellow gold "Tank" with manual wind Cal. 864 movement, dating to about the late 1970s. JLC and Cartier had a close and competitive relationship historically, with JLC supplying movements to Cartier, and Cartier releasing their branded Reversos and the Basculante (a sort of "vertical" reverso). This model from JLC clearly takes inspiration from the Cartier Tank, but modifies the case to be more three dimensional with the stepped bezel. There's tons of cool details on this piece, like the Tiger's Eye gemstone-set crown and the interlocking triangular pattern on the dial inspired by a traditional Japanese pattern ("Uroko", translating to "scale"). In terms of size, this is a men's watch with a 25mm width and 33mm lug to lug. In comparison, a vintage men's Tank (and current midsize Tank) is 23.5mm, while the large tank is 25.5mm. Lug width is a wide set 19mm that gives the watch more presence on the wrist. Condition is excellent and the watch shows few signs of its age. It also comes on the original plated gold JLC buckle, with some flaking on the underside. Movement service history is unknown but face up on timegrapher rate is showing at 0s per day. **Imgur album**: [https://imgur.com/a/jlc-18k-tank-iegtEOI](https://imgur.com/a/jlc-18k-tank-iegtEOI) **Timestamp:** [https://imgur.com/a/XXpqx8Q](https://imgur.com/a/XXpqx8Q) Given current 18k vintage Tank price and the Jaeger LeCoultre provenance this watch represents a fantastic value at **$2,395 shipped** in the US. Payment via wire, Zelle, or Venmo F&F, I will ship internationally and only charge the difference in cost on top. I am not looking for trades.
