At the time the move to digital stopwatches was well underway so an analog stopwatch was a little unusual. I think this is Seiko’s first quartz analog handheld stopwatch. As commonly seen with 7A models it states 1/10 second but the display clearly indicated a 1/20 second readout. The buttons are for start/stop, reset and split time recording. It has a total recording time of 30 minutes. The lock button on the bottom can prevent the buttons accidentally being pushed and is also used to reset the hand positions. The model number is TJR010 and was sold from mid ‘83 till mid ‘85, it had a list price of ¥18,000. The was rated with an accuracy of +-0.0008% and a monthly difference of +-20 sec.
