**Seiko Grand Quartz 4840-8041** In remarkably excellent condition, this early Grand Quartz feels pretty special when compared to modern day quartz watches. These models have a solid and detailed build, that speaks quality in the hand. Between the high polish, bright brushing and diamond dust dial, the watch really pops. This particular one is in very very good condition for its age, the case would be called almost new if it weren’t for the tooling marks on the case at 12 and 6 o’clock, left there by someone prying off the bezel to open this sorta mono block case. The tool marks sit mostly under the bezel lip, so they generally aren’t visible. Never been polished, all edges are crisp, espesially that little bevel that runs the length of the case, the dial, hands and crystal are perfect, it even still has the unblemished original AR coating and rarer still is the original GQ pin buckle. Runs well, had a new battery in September.
