Hey all! I'm putting up for sale a nicely preserved "Cosmic" 2606-5 with the moonphase calibre 381. Just haven't fallen in love with it the same way that I have with Constellations, so am hoping it can go to a new, more deserving home! With that said, I'll let the pictures do the talking first.

As you can see, this watch has been well-preserved. The dial is original, and has all of the correct printing intact. It does have small scratches at the base of the handstack and some exceptionally tiny stains/dirt marks on the dial, the latter of which especially aren't really visible without magnification. The hands are original (to the best of the research I've done), with the correct turquoise color on the date hand, and an original moonphase disc. Those familiar with vintage Omega will likely know just how hard finding a Cosmic with original dial in good condition can be – it's truly not often that these pop up without being redialed.

Looking inside at the 381 movement, we can see that it is also in good cosmetic condition. There is some light oxidation on the bevels of the barrel bridge, but no major rusting, gouging, or deterioration of the rosy copper coating. The movement has the "OXG" import mark indicating it was imported to the US, and has the accompanying "unadjusted" engraving around the ratchet wheel to duck the contemporary tariffs. I don't know what the service history of this watch is, and it's been sitting in a drawer since I got it, so I also don't know what the timekeeping performance is like. That said, it does run.

The expected engravings are also all present on the case back's inner face. Patented steel, anyone?

I'd be willing to bet that the case has never seen a polishing wheel since leaving the factory. The original contours are all present and clearly defined. The fine graining along the midcase is present from every angle. It is capped with 14k gold on the lugs, which has developed an excellent patina, and has a steel midcase. I don't know if the crown is correct for the reference, but it is of the correct vintage and does match the hue of the other gold components.

The outside of the caseback seems like it has retained its original brushing as well.

Asking $5200 shipped CONUS, Paypal F&F, Zelle, Venmo, or Bank Wire accepted. International shipping can be arranged. Please no returns unless terribly misrepresented.

With that, thanks again to OF for this excellent community, and I'll leave some of these photos of the iridescent blue/purple patina that the gold has taken on.

Note, the film was originally just used to hold the watch, but if you happen to shoot, I wouldn't be opposed to throwing in a roll 😉
