Up for sale is a beautiful dress watch from the expert craftspeople at Grand Seiko, the SBGW231!  At 37.3mm x 44.3mm x 11.6mm thick with 19mm lugs and a box sapphire crystal, this piece slides perfectly under a cuff or jacket and still looks sharp when dressed down casual. It is powered by the hand wound 9864 movement which has a 3-day power reserve and combines the latest in hairspring technology with an escapement developed through the MEMS technology to achieve high accuracy and stability when worn. Condition wise I would put this at 89%. The case presents beautifully on the wrist and a Zaratsu polish is highly maintained across the entire case. Other than typical microswirls that you can’t capture in photos with this polish finish, the only notable blemishes are a very light hairline on the side of the 5 o’clock lug and a ding on the edge of the bezel at 12 o’clock. As you can see in the pics, the ding is nearly invisible because of where it is when looking from the top down, but at an angle / from the side it is noticeable under close inspection. Otherwise it is in beautiful condition and the movement is running at +8 sec/day at full wind on my timegrapher app. This watch was originally purchased from a GS AD in 4/2022 so it is still under warranty for two more years until 4/2027. The watch will come with its original black crocodile strap and two beautifully paired and barely worn Delugs strap options for you to choose from ($200+ value!), full box kit with paperwork and stamped AD card (4/22/22).
