For sale is this vintage Gay Frères Steelinox bracelet with end links made for IWC (International Watch Co.) Guy Frères is regarded as one of the best bracelet manufacturers and producers of fine jewellery in the Swiss watch industry known for their quality, design and comfort - they are arguably the most important watch bracelet manufacturer in history. They were established in 1835 by Jean-Pierre Gay and Gaspard Tissot and made bracelets for Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, Heuer, Zenith and Patek Philippe among other big Swiss luxury brands. Gay Frères was acquired by Rolex in 1998 and we all know Rolex has some of the best and most iconic bracelets in the watch world. Rolex were also GF's oldest client. GF supplied the bracelets for both the Patek Philippe Nautilus and the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. This example is dated 4/68, indicating it was manufactured in 1968. Manufactured in Breveté, using Steelinox technology which became Rolex's unique term after the acquisition.  This example is a multi-link design with a semi-beads-of-rice style and includes the original "IF" end-links. IWC is branded on the clasp which still closes with a satisfying click. The inscriptions on the inside of the clasp pieces are still in very crisp condition. The bracelet is in good condition considering its age being almost 60 years old. General wear expected. It has its original unpolished finishing.  It has 7 holes of micro-adjustment and has a max length of 17cm when the clasp is closed including the end links. There is a slight kink in one side of the clasp. It tapers from 18mm at the end links to 15mm at the clasp and the clasp has a width of 17mm. It does not come with spring bars.
