For sale is a vintage 1990 CWC G10, military issued. The watch is in very good condition for its age and normal usage. It keeps good time and the case is in good shape. The caseback engraving shows the broad arrow which indicates that it was military issued. It also shows a “0552” serial number which indicates this particular G10 was issued to the Royal Navy and a designation of “90” toward the bottom which dates this example to 1990. The caseback has a bit of a “strap rash” or mark from what looks like the ribs of a nato strap. Indeed, that is what the “strap rash” is from and, if you look at other examples of G10’s, this wear on the caseback is often present due and, funny enough, usually a way of indicating authenticity (from what I’ve heard). In other words, it’s not damage particular to this watch but a form of wear that is seen on many of these (Google them and you’ll see most of them have this same wear mark). Just wanted to be transparent and informative about that! Also, these military-issued field watches have FIXED spring bars, meaning that you can only wear this on a slip through strap like a nato or a one-piece slip through.
