Seiko took the acclaimed and renowned and success of the SARB017 and took advantage of it's cult like following and improved some of its features. The primary technical difference is the movement. The SPB121's newer 6R35 movement significantly boosts the power reserve to 70 hours compared to the SARB017's 50 hours in its 6R15 movement. Both movements operate at the same 21,600 bph frequency. The main problem with the SARB017 is the price nowadays usually commanding close to $1,000. This particular watch is in Like New condition and full kit. It is hardly used and it shows.
