Hi crew! Up for sale is a Grand Seiko with one of the most stunning dials in their lineup, the SGBA407 “Skyflake”. The inspiration from GS: “In the Shinshu area of Japan, winter has its own special beauty. During the Shōkan "sekki" or season, the lakes are covered with ice, the air is sharp and dry and the sky takes on a deep blue hue that colors the snow that covers the mountains. The magic of Shinshu in Shōkan is captured in this dial, which has the rich texture of driven snow and a unique blue tone. Like every Spring Drive Grand Seiko watch, this "Blue Snowflake" reflects the landscape around the facility where it was created and reveals another aspect of the nature of time. “ This watch has a very wearable case of 40.2mm x 48.5mm lug to lug x 12.8mm thick and comes on a beautiful, comfortable blue crocodile leather strap on push button deployant. Running the 9R65 Spring Drive movement with 72 hour reserve, you never get tired of staring at that beautiful smooth sweeping seconds hand. It does not have a screw down crown but still maintains a 100m water rating which is far superior to most dress watches! This example is in excellent worn condition. It was worn regularly but carefully, I would put it conservatively at 90%. There are no noticeable / significant dings or nicks in the case that I can see. The sapphire crystal is completely clean and beautiful. There are minor hairlines on the polished surfaces of the case and caseback, mainly a few on the bezel and on the 9 o’clock side of the case. The case still maintains extremely crisp lines. The strap is in excellent condition and still has a lot of life left and the clasp has very minor wear.
