For sale is a 1970 Caravelle Sea Hunter “Devil Diver” 666 foot watch. This is a pretty desirable vintage watch for its resemblance to the Rolex 1016 (many pop off the bezel to get the look even more dead on). It’s in pretty remarkable condition. The dial is beautiful, the hands are great (the minute hand is missing a touch of lume), and the bezel is almost untouched (turns nicely with a good resistance, too). The caseback is in equally good condition, the crown appears to be original with the C logo, and there are only minor scratches on the case. There are some marks on the crystal which I can probably get off with some Polywatch or toothpaste… but I thought buyers would prefer it to be untouched, so I didn’t. It comes on an unused NATO strap. Unfortunately, I do not have the tools to open the movement (I'm a high school student who mainly collects and rarely sells watches, so I can offer buying references but not selling ones). I *can* say that I set it to noon and gave it 25 winds: **in 10 hours, it had lost 2 minutes**. Looks to be keeping time just a bit slow (normal for a vintage watch) on a flat surface (I haven't tested other positions, but am happy to do so), but I don’t want to guarantee full accuracy without a service and timegraph test… hence the nicely discounted price to comparable sales on eBay and elsewhere (in this condition, easily 500+ dollars).
