What’s up Watchexchange, up for sale today is my Seiko 6105-8110 PROOF, a rare July 1970 example. I purchased this watch from a dealer in Japan specializing in vintage watches. The watch was in all original condition when I got it, nothing was replaced, and everything was showing its age. The crystal was scratched, the gaskets were very hard and perished, and the movement needed service. I sent the watch to International Watch Works for service. They performed a full movement service, replaced all gaskets, and replaced the crystal with an exact reproduction of the original crystal from Spencer Klein. I still have all the original parts from the service to pass on to the next owner as well. It’s an extremely original watch and nothing has been modified or replaced that would affect said originality in any way. The crown lock is fully functional, and the watch has passed its pressure test. All lume on the dial, hands, and pip are original and show the same brightness when glowing. The case shows signs of normal use throughout its life. A few points to note is that the bezel click is currently not fully engaged, so the click action isn't as strong as it could be, the dial has some printing loss around the minute track, and the strap is an Uncle Seiko reproduction. The PROOF 6105-8110 was only made in May, June, and July of 1970. July of 1970 is the rarest month of production from what we've seen. This piece is also very notable because it is the highest serial number July example ever found, subsequently being the highest serial PROOF 6105-8110 ever found, number 1727.
