I’ve got a grail piece coming in, so time to pare down my collection. From left to right: Modified Omega Speedmaster 3570.50 Luminova from 1998 with Japan racing dial. The dial and hands were swapped with original Omega Japan Racing parts. Omega stopped producing these Japan racing dial and hands. Most sets on the market cost between $2200 and $2400. The 1498/840 bracelet is in very good condition with almost no stretch. The movement was serviced by Simon Freese in February of 2023. I have the invoice and it will come with the watch. Goes without saying that the watch is working 100%. The watch comes with the original dial and hands so you are getting two sets of dials and hands. Case is in a good and unpolished condition. I currently have a Spiralwinder sapphire exhibition caseback on it and obviously also have the original caseback. You get both. The bezel is faded. Both the dial and the sides are made out of solid Brazilian rosewood. 3000 total were made back in the mid 70s for two Cartier boutiques. And this is the even lesser seen jumbo version (measuring 25mm x 34mm). Comes with an authentic Cartier strap and buckle (worn once). As you can see, this watch features a moonphase indicator, pointer date, pointer day, pointer month and subseconds. The dial layout is extremely attractive and the watch features lovely lugs that match the fancy styling of the watch. The watch is in excellent condition with no large signs of wear or damage. This is a very rare dial – I’ve only been able to find one other example on the internet. The watch was cased and sold by EA Certina/Illinois Watch Company. It has a Record Cal. 107C movement that is stamped as an EA 23-0212 movement and the Record dial. The watch measures 34 by 42 mm.
