[WTS] Monta Skyquest GMT Opaline Limited Edition (1 of 175)
[album](https://imgur.com/a/fTv73jj) [timestamp](https://i.imgur.com/gyBecCF.jpeg) Today we have a watch that punches way above its weight class. This is the Monta Skyquest GMT Opaline V2, a limited edition with only 175 made. Having tried several top microbrands, Monta really stands out from the bunch and competes at a level far beyond it's price bracket. Tough, rugged yet beautiful and functional this watch combines the aesthetics of highly sought after vintage soda-named GMTs and their warm toned aluminum bezels with the comfort of a modern excellently engineered bracelet and a very wearable case. Monta really knocked it out of the park. Thin case, short lug to lug, 300m water resistance, a reliable and accurate movement and a top-of-the-line bracelet that tapers from 20mm at the lugs to 16mm at the clasp. This walks a fine line between vintage style diver and modern GMT and it does so with grace and not coming off as trying to be something it is not, which is often the case with retro divers that are so popular nowadays. This particular version is the gilt dial, which combines gold hour markers with gold toned numerals on the bezel. It works on a variety of wrists and wears comfortably on my 16cm wrist. The Opaline dial is stunning and really changes depending on lighting. From pure white, to sleek silver it has almost a mother-of-pearl nature to it. I have included many different lighting angles to try and show this, but the pictures do not do it justice.
