I’ve been known to scream it from the mountaintop: I love me a handwound Rolex! It’s the crown going back to basics, simple, elegant, robust, and offering SO MUCH VALUE! This is a cool one, the no date reference 6426 - such a clean look across the reference but especially here with a gorgeous black dial! REFERENCE: 6426 DATE: 1971 DIAL: Beautiful black dial with creamy tritium lume - the whole look is SLICK! A few light specs of here and there, of course seem with a black dial, but in fantastic condition. CRYSTAL: Plexi crystal is in good shape with wear that can be seen at certain angles, but shows off that gorgeous dial well. CASE: Clean 34mm case (actually measures 34.5 on calipers, and wears like a 35 or so with the oyster case) in nice condition. Light wear overall, as to be expected, mostly seen on the smooth bezel and sides, but presents beautifully. MOVEMENT: Hand wound Rolex movement winds and sends beautifully. Service history unknown, but running strong, with timegrapher showing 5 seconds a day and a very healthy amplitude of 300! STRAP: Comes on a nice black leather strap to complete that black on black look! Very light wear, and can fit a large wrist. Previous owner added a new aftermarket Rolex buckle to complete the look.
