Anyone looking for a birthyear watch from 1973? Here is a beautiful example of the CLASSIC Rolex 1601 2-Tone Datejust with a spectacular, light gold sunburst Pie-Pan dial with warm tritium markers and the original matching handset - both still light up when exposed to UV light. This dial is sooooo lovely in the sunlight - the sunburst effect just pops! What is the highlight of this watch is the case - unpolished - look at the razor sharp lugs with their original brushed finish that is unilaterally even and uniform! The solid gold fluted bezel is equally as sharp and unpolished (no nicks or scratches and the fluting is CRISP!). I believe that this watch still has the original low dome, rounded edge factory Rolex acrylic crystal which is still in excellent shape without any deep scratches or nicks. The factory SWISS Jubilee bracelet is in very good condition marked with a 2/70 mark on the clasp denoting the bracelet was made in the second quarter of 1970. Average stretch with the buckle being in MINT condition with a full coronet and no deep scratches or nicks. Should fit a 7.5 inch wrist. I do not know the service history on this watch however, the caliber 1570 movement (hacking feature, non-quickset) is running within COSC standards and has a good power reserve. $3,895 paid via a wire transfer or Zelle and I will include insured shipping within the USA.
