For Sale: Rare Vintage Globa Sport World Timer “Chronostop” from the 1960’s. Watch is in excellent condition, functioning properly and keeping good time. Clean domed acrylic crystal. Running on an interesting hand wound pin-pallet Lapanouse movement that allows you to stop and start the second hand without having a minute counter. The subdials are directly connected to the hour and minute hands. The movement was first invented by Georges Roskopf in the 1860’s as an affordable alternative to the move expensive and complicated true chronograph movements. Globa seems to be related to the Swiss company Cimier, possibly the international export version of their watches. A unique peice for your collection.
