For your consideration is the nicest Ranchero I have seen.


This was a true barn-find (deceased estate, discovered decades later). This one has given me great pleasure over the years, and I am likely going to regret selling it. But a big incoming means space needs making ... also, I hardly ever wear it anymore. It seems such a waste.

This is a head-only sale. The movement was fully serviced by my Simon Freese in 2018.

Dial and Hands

Currently we have lots of overcast weather and so the following shots are in rather unflattering light conditions.
Light conditions aside, the oily black dial and pumpkin radium lume is clear to see...it really is stunning.
Money-shots will be at the end of the sales post.



Anything that looks like a line or a scratch is the crystal, and not the dial.
This dial is perfect. This lume is perfect.

The Case
The case looks to me to have seen a polish in its life. Not by me.
It doesn't detract from the overall condition of the watch imo and, unlike a speedmaster, never bothered me.

I think I have only seen 2 other comparably attractive Rancheros.



It came with a super-thin service crown as most do. I sourced a (what I believe to be) period correct niad crown.

Movement

As mentioned, serviced by Simon Freese in 2018.
This was a pre-service shot.
Not much has changed, I simply don't have the skill to open the caseback without damaging something.

The watch and I are in Switzerland, and so F2F could happen here. I could arrange to meet at a border location (e.g. Germany...to be discussed). I will accept a wire directly to my Swiss bank account too, however that will be in CHF, and will thus cost you conversion and transfer fees. Paypal F&F will be accepted, in CHF as specified. I use Wise as it saves you on these fees, and is a local transaction for us both. Returns are accepted only if grossly misrepresented. You will get what you see in these pictures which are of a decent quality and high resolution, so I don't believe there is any chance of misrepresentation.

Shipping (plus insurance) to wherever you are in the world will be at your expense (to be discussed). EU postage can be arranged.
