Description: Hamilton-Ricoh electric watch. All-steel case. Very unique piece. The watch works with a electrically balanced movement (Hamilton 555E) based on Vantage 130E. The second hand moves not flowingly but intermittent like quartzs. The Hamilton Ricoh Watch Company, Ltd. was a joint venture and only existed between 1962 and 1964. Electric parts were made in Lancaster, PA while the mechanicals parts were made in Japan, the watches also being assembled in Japan. The movements are marked "Ricoh 5x5E" (Electric Watches). Formal description: Hamilton-Ricoh electronic watch "Electric" in 1960's Movement: 555E, Ricoh, Electronic Case diameter: 35.5 mm Glass: Original, acrylic, some scratches, no polished. Dial: Original, some small stains.
