Very rare Victorinox Whisper watch. Three varieties were made in 2000-2001: Titanium with gray dial on bracelet (ref. 24447), stainless steel with polished bezel on brushed stainless case and bracelet with black dial (ref. 26446), and polished stainless case and bezel on white dial with black leather strap (ref. 24474).
The watch is a brilliant design at only 6mm thick and weighing 60 grams! Amazingly comfortable. The single link bracelet with butterfly clasp is unique (resembles military tank tread). Flat sapphire crystal. Swiss made Ronda 715 quartz movement - 5 jewels, gold-plated.
This watch is from my personal collection and is NEW (unworn) in the original box, including the manufacturer's cardboard slip sleeve over the tin box. Watch still has plastic cover over the sapphire crystal and on the case back. (Battery is dead from storage.)
I have this identical watch which I wear regularly, and I love it. (I also have the other two models in my collection.)
This is a fantastic rare opportunity to pick up a highly collectible 25-year old watch NIB. I doubt there is another one out there.
An interesting bit of history... This watch was designed and made by Swiss Army Brand at the same time Victorinox was negotiating the purchase of Swiss Army Brand. Early models have the SAB wreath and cross logo on the dial, and the case back is marked Swiss Army Brand. Later models have the Victorinox shield logo on the dial and are marked Victorinox on the case back. Strangely enough, I have one that has the SAB wreath on the dial, but the Victorinox shield logo on the buckle! This titanium version is completely branded as Victorinox (except for the sticker on the box which says it is distributed by SAB).
Priced at the original MSRP of $350 (a steal of a deal if you consider 25 years of inflation). Free shipping in the USA, or face to face near La Crosse, WI.
