More photos: [https://imgur.com/a/ZBb5vVK](https://imgur.com/a/ZBb5vVK) Timestamp: [https://imgur.com/dQa3Bv7](https://imgur.com/dQa3Bv7) Selling my Kurono Tokyo Grand Series 2024 Anniversary Reiwa.  For those who don’t know, Kurono Tokyo is the “accessible” line of watches from Hajime Asaoka.  Each model is a unique design that is sold only once, never to be repeated in the same color combination, and includes a substantial amount of hand finishing (even the hands are bent by hand to fit under the domed sapphire). The 5^(th) anniversary Reiwa is also the final time this style will ever be produced, as it proved extremely challenging to make this time with only a 5% acceptance rate for the dials because Asaoka demanded that the center be a perfect black while allowing the periphery to maintain its bright metallic coloration.  Where the first Reiwa dial produced was a series of brow colors, this high contrast between deep/perfect black interior and bright/metallic perimeter led to the high rejection rate for these dials and retirement of the process. I have to say, this watch is incredible to see in person.  The hand-polished case is a true mirror (like grand seiko, but with far better curves).  The dial is stunning, with an ink-black middle that has a mirror-like lacquer, a brushed and textured metallic outer edge, perfect printing, and a depth from the assembled rings/markers and curved hands that is fantastic.  All in a watch that is only 7mm thick (plus the domed sapphire). I have handled watches valued up to $100k, and have never seen a watch like this one. The execution is flawless, with a finishing that matches true luxury pieces.  Yet the real strength is in its restraint.  I simply can’t describe it, and my terrible phone photography doesn’t do it justice. This watch is BNIB (brand new in box).  It has never been worn, and only unwrapped for these pictures.  When I received it I was floored by its beauty, but was worried it was too refined/beautiful for me to wear as I am more comfortable wearing tool watches.
