For sale is this vintage Seiko Type-II 7546-7000, made in Japan, in April of 1978. During the 70s Seiko was leading the quartz revolution with extremely high-quality quartz watches of which this in no exception. Type-II (Type-2) was Seiko wanting to make a more attainable series of quartz watches to the people as quartz watches were very expensive, far more than the equivalent automatics of the time. These were Japanese domestic market only. This particular example has a very unique tropical patina on the "tatami" textured dial. The silver rehaut minute track is unaffected which adds to the look. Sharp dauphine hands, a classic Seiko element, with a black stripe down the middle match the baton markers which are also silver with a black strip. Applied single crystal quartz logo and Seiko logo. The case of the watch is high polish and with nice facets. The bracelet is original and has an extend function best fitting wrists roughly 17.5cm-20cm. Day wheel is bilingual with English and Japanese Kanji. Brand new battery.Offers welcome.
