For sale is this vintage Seiko LC Digital 0531-0015 made in Japan in November of 1986. A very unique watch which was originally released in 1977. It has a TV style cut-out inlay for the brown dial with features/instructions beneath. Gold accents and a subtly printed case information on the crystal indicating the crystal is original. The hexagonal graphic shows blocks of ten seconds which pulse depending on what 1/6th of the minute it's on - perhaps influenced by Star Wars?? When you twist the crown it has a satisfying click and displays the calendar mode with the month on the left and date on the right. The case is all stainless steel unlike a lot of cheap digital watches today, which feels very solid and well-built. A small screw-down hatch for easy access to battery change. The movement is very industrial looking, very beautiful to look at - a signature the over-engineering of early quartz movements. I'm unsure if it was originally, but the dial has become iridescent (changes rainbow colour) depending on the viewing angle.  General wear as expected for a 40 year-old watch, the case is not bad but the crystal is fairly scratched. Perhaps a replacement crystal will really bring it to life. Made in Japan in the Daini factory during their fierce rivalry with the Suwa Factory indicated by the Daini logo on the crystal and case back. It comes on a very 80s high quality JDM Bambi bracelet.
