A very rare Seiko Actus watch in great condition. Stunning Dark Blue sunburst dial. Raised Faceted indexes make the dial pop. Beefy solid cushion case. Movement has been serviced. Good time keeping. Case is professionally polished keeping all the sharp lines, edges and mirror finishing. The Kanji(Japanese) date highly complements the dial. It has both English and Japanese (Kanji) day options. Crown perfectly blends into case. Such dials are highly sought after in Seiko world, so this is a great investment piece as well. They're only released in Japan, JDM model. Actus was introduced as a premium sub-brand of Seiko like the Alpinist or the Prospex brands of today. Actus variant had a higher jewel movement and marketed as “young, activity line”, compared to the standard Seiko 5. "SS" logo is also stamped on some Actus models which is the short form of Second Setting. Models with the SS logo comes with hacking function. This one being one of them has hacking.
