I am downsizing my collection and I must regretfully sell an amazing watch. While it may not be from a well known brand, it punches well above its weight. This is a 1970s alarm watch but quite possibly one of the best ever made. Housed inside its full stainless steel case is the AS 5008 movement. This is a high beat, automatic, day date, alarm movement. The automatic rotor winds both the alarm and regular spring barrels which also allow for hand winding. It beats at 28,800 A/h and is keeping excellent time, nor timegrapher tested, but observed to be around +4 seconds per day. It is the fully upgraded version with 25 jewels. Its alarm is loud enough to notice and has even woken me up in the morning! The day and date is independently quickset. The dial is clean with tritium lume markers. The markers and hands contrast well and is very easy to read. The full stainless steel case is almost flawless with few scratches on the polished and brushed surfaces which is to be expected. There are a few scratches on the caseback. The stainless steel bracelet is new but lightly used and features quick release spring bars. It measures approximately 42mm diameter, 22mm lug width and 13mm thick. So while it is vintage, it looks modern and holds up well. The acrylic crystal has a couple scratches but can likely be polished out. I am asking £400 PayPal (+shipping depending on where you are). I am open to offers. This will be listed on eBay too.
