The pattern on the dial is meant to evoke the ripples on lakes and ponds in Japan from a warm summer breeze, and is incredibly detailed. The printing appears to float on top of the waves adding a fantastic depth and realism to the inspiration. It comes through a bit in photos but really has to be seen in person for the full effect. The tall boxed sapphire crystal captures light and scatters it off of the fully Zaratsu polished hands and markers in a very eye-catching way that further enhances the design. The 39.5mm Elegance case is also fully Zaratsu polished. Lug width is 19mm and lug to lug length is 46.9mm. The watch is powered by Grand Seiko's 36000bph GMT movement, the 9S86. It comes with the inner and outer boxes, Grand Seiko timing certificate, manuals, and guarantee card dated 2022.
