Originally designed for pilots, the “Big Crown”—which gives the model its name—allowed for easy adjustments while wearing gloves. The watch measures 40mm in diameter with a 48mm lug-to-lug and a 20mm lug width. It features a brushed and polished stainless steel case paired with white steel plated bezel for a refined contrast. The silver-tone dial includes Arabic numerals and index markers, along with luminescent hands for improved visibility. Additional highlights include a multi-piece stainless steel construction, a domed plexiglass crystal up front, and a see-through case back made of mineral glass. The watch is in good condition with minor hairline scratches. Crystal is nice and clean but has some small hairline scratches at 12 o’clock position (you can see the closeup photos). Watch is featured on its OEM bracelet with links fit up to 20cm (8 inches). It has been recently serviced and is running well within COSC standard at +/-5s a day. Please note that the original box and papers are not included, but a watch box will be provided with the purchase.
