I absolutely love odd, special, and historical watches. This Mido Multi-Centerchrono is obviously one of those. The case is made by Tauber et fils (François Borgel), which also made the first waterproof chronograph case for Patek Philippe. The case resembles the famous Patek “Tasti Tondi”, and even has the same pushers. If not for these, you could easily overlook that the Mido Multi-Centerchrono is even a chronograph at all, as there are no subdials. Instead, all chronograph functions are central. Absolutely amazing and hardly matched by any other watch brand at the time. This particular version has the “chronograph compteur” dial turned tropical with the original radium numerals and radium filled hands.
