Here we have a nice clean Rolex Mens 36mm Datejust with silver “pie pan” dial that could make a great birthyear watch for someone or just a cool, affordable way to get into the Rolex brand. The 5.2 million serial number dates this piece to 1977. The aged lume on this watch is to die for, with a perfect matching creamy patina between the hands and dial. Inside the case, we have the original Rolex 1570 automatic movement with hacking feature, which is really handy when setting the time. Note that this surely must be one of the last 1570-powered Datejusts before Rolex implemented the troublesome 3035 movement in 1978. This piece is in pretty excellent vintage condition overall, but there are two nicks on the 1 o’clock and 5 o’clock lugs that I wanted to specifically point out. Service history is unknown but running well at present, if a tiny bit slow. Comes with aftermarket leather two-piece band, as shown. The modern Rolex box that’s visible is just a prop for taking photos and is not included. Price is a pretty firm at **$3300 shipped** with free domestic (United States) with full insurance.
