Up for sale today is the funky-yet-elegant **Seiko DX 6106-8070** from 1968. The DX range was used by Seiko to designate watches originally in the "5" line but with a higher quality finishing. This 6106-8070 features a silver sunburst dial whose sunburst continues out through the case for a unique look, as well as a slightly oblong/ovular case. Another fun feature is the quick-set date activated by pushing in the crown (which sits nearly flush with the case). All parts are original (including the bracelet), and the watch was given a complete overhaul service (\~$400) by the good folks at [Time Zone](https://www.timezonecostamesa.com/) in 2024 (service receipt will be shipped with the watch). I have never held another 8070 case, so I am only guessing at this part, but one of the spring bars does not depress and the link does not move - I do not know whether this means it is rusted, but the folks at Time Zone asked me if I wanted to force it open and I said no.
