Hi everyone, Letting go of this 1962 Omega Constellation ref. 14777 – the so-called “jumbo” Connie with a 37mm stainless-steel case and chronometer-rated cal. 561 inside. If you like the classic Constellation look but find the usual 34–35mm cases a bit small, this one wears noticeably larger on the wrist while still feeling properly vintage. The dial has definitely seen life and shows heavy, even spotting across the surface, so this is priced as a **characterful daily-wear Constellation**, not a safe-queen. It was fully serviced in November 2024, so it’s ready to strap on and enjoy. # Condition **Dial:** Original champagne dial with applied Omega logo, text, crosshair and Constellation script with star at 6. The surface shows heavy but **even** spotting/patina across the whole dial (see macros) – no obvious scratches or re-touching, just age. All printing is still crisp and legible. If you’re looking for a flawless or near-mint Connie dial, this won’t be the right watch – but if you like honest, even patina and don’t mind spotting, it has a lot of charm on wrist. **Case:** Stainless-steel “jumbo” case, approx. **37mm** excluding crown with long straight lugs. Shows signs of wear and past polish, but still presents well on wrist with decent lug shape and bezel definition. Caseback features the observatory medallion in gold with good detail on the stars and dome. **Crown:** Signed Omega crown, correct style for the reference. Winds and sets smoothly; date quick-set works as it should. **Movement:** Omega **cal. 561** automatic chronometer movement. Serviced in **11/2024** by my watchmaker and running well in my use since. As with all vintage pieces, I can’t guarantee long-term accuracy once it leaves my hands, but it’s in good health post-service. **Strap:** Aftermarket black leather strap (no Omega markings), in wearable condition. Buckle is also aftermarket. Easy **18mm** lug width if you want to put it on your own strap or bracelet. **Price: $990 USD** Includes insured worldwide shipping.
