So when the brand acquired Swiss movement maker La Joux-Perret in 2012, eyebrows were raised - but the resulting collection did not disappoint. **The Maker.** Citizen’s 0200 series features beautifully structured automatic La Joux-Perret movements housed inside a sporty case on an integrated bracelet, all meticulously hand-finished. It was the perfect introduction to Citizen’s new mechanical direction. **The Dial.** Described as *rippled sand*, the black dial is delightfully textured, allowing light to scatter across its surface unpredictably. The recessed small seconds at six o'clock offers an interesting visual contrast, with its concentric, sunburst finish. The applied markers have been textured and hand-polished, matching the punchy dauphine hands floating above.  **The Finish.** A razor-sharp case, with the perfect mix of brushed and Zaratsu-polished surfaces. The retro-sporty look is complimented by the integrated bracelet, which features the same mix of heavy brushing and polished accents.  **The Movement.** Much like Citizen’s HAQ offerings, the eagle on the dial represents a promise of extraordinary accuracy. Exceeding COSC’s strict standards, the 0200 calibres are stress-tested for 17 days across six positions and five temperatures - all while maintaining accuracy equal to or better than +5/−3 seconds per day.
