IWC Mark XVIII Tribute to Mark XI I recently sold my IWC 3706, and as soon as that one went out the door, this watch came arriving in the mail. I took delivery of the watch this past week. I thought I could pull off the 40mm, given the 3706 fit nicely at 39mm. Turns out, the size is not for me. As soon I put it on a nato on my wrist, I knew. Not looking to make any profit. Merely trying to get what I paid for the watch back. Looks like I have to get the Mark XII; curse my small wrists. This one should have been a keeper. The watch was described by one of the top reputable dealers overseas (will provide the name if you PM) as 90%. To be honest, I’d wager that’s a big generous. The crown looks to have been scratched in the past and polished. Still, for this rare piece, I feel like I got a deal. I’d like to pass that on to someone who will actually wear the watch. When I first received the watch, the winding took me by surprise. I have other sellita-based watches, and this is not like other off-the-shelf movements. I’ve come to find out IWC does indeed tweak them, and you can feel the difference! It’s buttery smooth. It is watch only. One of 1948. Comes on the two nato straps pictured and a beautiful, lightly worn IWC alligator strap with matching IWC buckle. Please ask all questions before, as I am not a dealer and do not accept returns.
