For sale is a gorgeous 1961 (M1) Bulova Accutron Spaceview with a solid 14k gold case. M1 designates it as from the first year it was produced. "Alpha" refers to the case shape; this variant is generally considered the most desirable. The watch is in excellent condition with only light surface swirls, a clear domed hesalite crystal, and a vintage elephant leather strap with a gold Accutron buckle. This piece has truly been handled with great care and is pristine condition considering its age. The movement runs fast-- I haven't timed it long term, but it seems to run between 1.5 to 2 times as fast as it should. However, the hands sweep smoothly (with the delightful tuning fork "hum" if placed next to the ear) and the battery has been freshly replaced. It will require a service/adjustment in order to keep perfect time.
