This Seiko SLA019 (also known as SBDX021) is a special Limited Edition Marine master. It is often referred to as the Seiko Hulk for obvious green reasons. The green dial color was based on the cedar trees on the island of Yakushima in Japan, a popular diving spot. It hits in the sunlight and you can see it in darker situations too. The lume is practically volcanic glowing with amazing intensity!

This watch was the first MarineMaster to be released after the SBDX017 was discontinued. It came onto the scene at BaselWorld, 2017.

This watch is limited in production with only 1968 produced. That number has to do with the year that the Seiko high beat movement was invented... which this celebrates. The Seiko 8L35 beats at 28,800 vibrations per minute...

This watch looks great because it has not been abused and it is made of durable materials: sapphire, ceramic and the steel parts have Seiko's diashiled coating that helps prevent scratches.

This Marine Master has many firsts including - the first all-green MarineMaster.... the first sapphire crystal on a MarineMaster and the first ceramic bezel on a MarineMaster. That adds up to a unique watch and one that certainly grabs the attention of watch enthusiasts and "regular people" alike.

MarineMasters are not made like typical watches. There is not a screw-in case-back, and in fact... it is solid. This is to improve robustness and water/gas proofness. Where other dive watches may have a HEL (helium escape valve), this one does not need one.

This is a serious dive watch with a 300-meter water resistance... but you can enjoy it on dry land and without a professional divers certification.
