Although with a watch of this age service is recommended Circa 1950's. Made in the U.S.A. The distinct and classic 32mm 14KT Gold Filled case is in fairly reasonable shape despite it's age. Despite its smaller vintage size, the watch wears comfortably well on the wrists with its's 38 mm lug to lug measurement. The watch is 10mm thick. Clean, original 12-hour shockmaster ripple dial with gold applied indices. Please note due to natural aging and wear part of the Elgin lettering has been worn. Very art deco step-side shockmaster case and fancy lugs! acrylic domed crystal is very clean and free of scratches. Manual wind movement Cal. 688 21 Jewel movement. Watch is in good working order and is keeping very good time. Service history is unknown. 14KT gold filled case with a screw back. Internal case back markings include Cased & Timed by Elgin National Watch Co., Watch Star case Company , 14KT Gold Filled Bezel, 4875 and the serial no. S303814.
