For sale is an original Junghans Max Bill watch. Please note the following: 1. **Ownership**: I am the original owner of this watch. It comes with the box and papers. 2. **Design**: The watch’s design is over 50 years old yet still looks modern, timeless and beautiful. It is by many definitions a perfect dress watch – with an elegant dial and curved glass, the Max Bill series with its minimalist Bauhaus design is something to appreciate every time you look at the dial. The lume is also still working. 3. **Strap and Buckle**: OEM leather strap and buckle were replaced with upgraded genuine shell cordovan RIOS straps and a butterfly clasp. The shell cordovan strap is also made in Germany, to match the watch’s origins. Further, the butterfly clasp significantly reduces the leather straps’ wear and tear. I still have the original straps so will include those. 4. **Crystal**: This is the prior generation, so has the acrylic crystal. It looks warmer than the current generation’s sapphire crystal but does have 1 or 2 natural and yet easily corrected light scratches (I did not take it to a watchmaker to get corrected because I think they just add to the originality of the watch). No under-surface blemishes. 5. **Precision**: This is a quartz movement so is utterly reliable. I also had the battery replaced about a year ago. Fun note that the seconds hand lines up exactly with the relevant markers (you can see it in one of the pictures, lining up to exactly 0) – that’s German precision! Per Junghan’s website, the new generation is for $785 plus tax, so at $459 with a shell cordovan strap and deployant buckle this watch is a pretty good bargain.
