Hello folks! Another awesome Omega Speedmaster Reduced has passed through my hands here and I’m excited to offer it to a new home. This is one of the nicer examples I have seen in a while and came from the collection of Larry from Uncle Seiko as part of a trade that he made with a friend of mine for his Pelagos. Cool provenance from a cool guy who generally only collects nice examples. The watch is in very good vintage condition. The unpolished case is excellent, there are only minor hairlines on the polished surfaces and a few very tiny micro dings on the case. The bezel insert is flawless and the hesalite crystal has normal swirls and very light marks – it could be polywatched to 100% but I will leave that up to the next owner. The dial and hands are stunning, the tritium lume has aged to a puff pastry patina and does not show any major signs of flaking or degradation. It’s an absolute gem to stare at. The start/stop pusher functions crisply with just a slightly slow return to the reset position. The reset pusher functions crisply as well and resets quickly to the reset position. Service history and water resistance is unknown, however I clocked the movement at 12 s/day, your mileage may vary. Note for vintage watches: I do my best to describe any watch I sell to the best of my ability, but old watches are like old cars – they can be temperamental, need service at any time, and are generally not as reliable or as precise as a modern watch. It should be assumed that unless I know the service history the watch will likely need a service if you plan to wear it frequently. Even post-service (depending on the watchmaker), vintage watches can still be less reliable than modern watches. Please understand this before buying a vintage watch in general! The watch will come as “watch only” on an OEM clasp and bracelet in great vintage shape that should comfortably fit up to 6.75” wrists as well as a prototype Uncle Seiko 1450 Lincoln bracelet that my friend helped Larry prototype! It is nearly new with only very light marks from handling.
