Up for sale is one of my favourite Omega dive watches as I have two in my collection.
These come up for sale relatively infrequently, only being in the Omega catalogue for a year or two in the early 70’s. Even less common are examples, like this one, that have an undamaged bezel and all original parts.
To the best of my knowledge this one is as it left the factory, with original tritium dial and hands that have aged to a lovely dark caramel hue, original bezel in good condition with no major damage, original early screw down crown and the original 1170 bracelet with 631 end links. The case still shows its original brushed finish and is, I believe, un polished.
The 565 movement was serviced by Simon Freese about 5 years ago and is currently running well, although I am selling the watch as needing a service given the date of last service.
The watch and bracelet does show wear, marks and minor dings consistent with its age but is a great, wearable example in very original condition.
The price is £2500 worldwide shipping would be a maximum of £50. I doubt there’s a cheaper one for sale.
The photos are all taken in sunlight. A couple of minor marks on the crystal are casting shadows on the dial. Please check the photos carefully for condition.
Thank you for looking and to OF for the space.
