**Model**: Seiko SCVE041 **Year**: 2016 **Video**: [Click here to see a video of the watch in action](https://www.instagram.com/p/C8FQwo_oJVj/) ***- Collaboration***: In 2016 Seiko collaborated with Nano Universe, a contemporary Japanese fashion brand (what might be called “Streetwear” in the West), to make California “stealth” watches. Only 500 were made so they’re not particularly well known outside of Japan. ***- The Dial***: A California dial is traditionally split in half, with the top half of the dial’s markers being Roman numerals and the bottom half being Arabic numbers. Originally known as a “High Visibility” dial it was said to be easier for pilots to read in low light conditions. Unfortunately, I can’t explain why this watch has a vertical California split, and, If I’m being totally honest, I also can’t explain why a traditional California dial is easier to read than a normal dial in low light condition! Either way, it’s a unique looking dial. **The Condition**: In great condition. No noticeable or significant marks anywhere on the watch. The nato strap is wearable but old and slightly frayed. **Scope**: Full original box and papers. **Movement**: 4R35 Automatic, with a tinted black Exhibition case back. Not something I've seen from Seiko other than the 1970s Sonars. **Case Width**: 42mm **Case Thickness**: 11.6mm **Price**: Offered at **$395** plus shipping.
