Good evening, WatchEx! I've got a few to rattle off tonight, starting with this: the Nomos Club Campus 39 Neomatik 767 in midnight blue. (Disregard title, it's a Club Campus 39, not 38. Can't edit titles ☹️) Nomos has long been a favorite brand of mine - a true independent watchmaker that does everything in-house, and doesn't cost a fortune. They're slim without feeling cheap, simple without feeling unrefined, and German without sounding angry. I dare you to find me another brand that hits all of those marks. The Club Campus line is arguably their most popular/accessible, with sizes all across the board. This model is a 38mm - but any Nomos owner will tell you they'll wear larger due to their elongated lug design. The contour of the lugs is fantastic - as long as you find a model where the lugs aren't at the extremes of your wrist, it will wear like a dream. Their "Neomatik" movements are essentially just automatic versions of their more standard handwound calibers - how they're still able to keep these things razor thin is an absolute marvel. They do such a great job with clean, simple dials - I hate the cliche if "strap monster", but this will look killer on just about any strap you mount to it. I'm partial to light brown/cognac leathers on blue dials, but the included grey alcantara leather is another perfect pairing.
