For sale is this seldom-seen Mission 1, a sold out LE of 300 pieces made by the Canadian microbrand Mission Watch Company. They produced several models, but none was as well-made, or commercially successful, as their introductory piece, simply called the Mission 1, which quickly sold out shortly after it launched in 2019. I’m not sure what happened to them; they seem to have lost their mojo and withered away. It’s too bad; they had some promise. This particular example is #25/300 and is in near-mint condition; I’d conservatively rate at a 9.0/10. A few small surface scratches are barely visible on the bezel under certain lighting conditions and viewing angles. I’m confident they can be buffed out. The watch’s automatic Miyota movement was recently serviced and is keeping excellent time. The watch comes in its original vegan zippered travel case, made from vegan leather and featuring a recessed slot to hold the Mission 1 securely, and a second compartment with two elastic bands to hold additional straps securely. The case is in perfect condition. Speaking of straps, all 3 of the original straps are included and in new, unused, condition: a 20mm Saddle Leather strap with signed buckle, a brown leather NATO, and a black nylon NATO strap. As you can see from the photos, it’s a really nice package. I am asking a negotiable $650, (you pay for the label), with payment by Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal FF The watch specs are below, taken directly from the Mission Watch Company website: • Diameter: 39 mm • Lug to Lug: 47.5 mm • Between Lugs: 20.1 mm • Height: 11.85 mm • Water Resistance: 300 m • Case: 316 L stainless steel • Crystal: 2.5 mm thick Sapphire, with anti-reflective coating on both sides • Case back: Screw down caseback MOVEMENT • Japanese Made Miyota 9015 Automatic movement • 24 jewels • Hacking seconds, uni-directional (clockwise) winding • Frequency: 28,000 bph • Accuracy Rating: +/-10 seconds per day (up to +/- 30 seconds per day) • Power Reserve: 42 hours STRAP • 20mm Saddle Leather (A unique retro look with each strap aging differently and beautifully over time.) Each Mission 1 also comes with a soft leather NATO (that will gently darken with time) and a black nylon NATO.
